A multicultural Community
AOU is a large university that has seven branches in the Arab World. These branches are located in Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, and Oman. Thus, AOU is a large multicultural community in which students communicate with their colleagues over seven different countries and enjoy the sense of belonging.
AOU offers its graduates two fully accredited degree certificates, one from the Arab Open University (AOU) and one from the Open University (OU) in the UK.
Strong curricula and skills
Business Studies Programme at AOU uses the same curricula and textbooks used by the Open University in the UK. Moreover, the curricula are prepared in a way that enables students to gain different skills, such as analytical skills, critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, research skills, and presentation and communication skills.
Different tracks to match different interests:
The Business programme is offered in four tracks as follows:
– Systems Practice – Management
– Accounting – Marketing
Thus, AOU provides students with different tracks to satisfy the variety in their academic interests and career plans.
Qualified academic staff
AOU Business Studies Programme relies heavily on highly qualified academic staff. All tutors in the Business Study Programme have acquired their academic degrees from international Business schools and have extensive teaching experience. Moreover, tutors are capable of encouraging students’ positive attitudes and leadership skills through using distinguished teaching methodologies in class.
Non-traditional teaching tools and Flexible learning system
In addition to face- to- face class meetings between tutors and students, AOU Business Studies Programme provides students with untraditional teaching tools, such as the Learning Management System (LMS) and the e-library. Such non-traditional teaching tools build students’ independent study skills and enable them to enjoy a flexible learning system. Thus, most of our students have already started their career path and are able to balance between working and studying.
AOU Business Studies Programme is subject to strict quality assurance procedures. Course outlines, exam preparation, and marking processes are all monitored and reviewed by External Examiners to ensure the quality of the education process.
