The MA program in English Literature at the Faculty of Linguistic Studies in the academic year 2017-2018 started with a strong start in partnership with the Open University in Britain, which grants its graduates an exclusive British certificate that qualifies them to work internationally and in Egypt. The academic program continues to achieve unprecedented success, as stated in all the reports of the graduate examiners in Britain, as they stated that the program is the strongest in the Middle East region, and that students are qualified for the doctoral level. The program encourages all its students to participate in international conferences, and the number of participants has reached twenty in specialized international conferences. The program also encourages its students and graduates to publish internationally, which included British and international periodicals. The number of its graduates has reached eleven so far, and four female researchers are expected to graduate this semester.
The program coordinator urges all students to attend workshops, lectures, plays, and cultural seminars at the American University in Cairo, and students benefit from all this in their scientific research and dissertations, which are characterized by originality and innovation.
