Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist (Job Code: HSE-26)

Arab Open University (AOU) is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist to ensure a safe, compliant, and risk‑controlled campus environment in line with Egyptian regulations and international HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian Labor Law, Civil Defense, and Ministry of Manpower requirements
• Conduct campus safety inspections and risk assessments
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near‑misses
• Support fire safety systems, emergency plans, and evacuation plans
• Deliver HSE training and awareness sessions
• Maintain HSE records, reports, and official documentation
• Liaise with regulatory and governmental authorities

Requirements

•  Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences
•  3–5 years of HSE experience (education sector preferred)
•  Strong knowledge of Egyptian HSE regulations
•  Ministry of Manpower OSH certification
•  Civil Defense Fire Safety certification
•  NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA (advantage)
•  Strong Arabic & English communication skills
