About the job

As part of our digital growth and increasing operational demands, we are expanding our IT team and looking for a Junior Network specialist to support the design, maintenance, and development of our growing network infrastructure.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a professional IT environment, receive hands-on mentorship, and grow into a senior role.
 
Responsibilities

  1. Assist in configuring and maintaining network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, access points).
  2. Monitor network performance and uptime using tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, or Nagios.
  3. Participate in LAN, WAN, and wireless deployments across branches or locations.
  4. Handle network-related service tickets and provide Level 1/2 support for end-users.
  5. Support cable management, patching, and physical network infrastructure.
  6. Assist in managing IP address assignments and maintaining IPAM records.
  7. Implement and troubleshoot VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and trunking (802.1Q).
  8. Perform basic firewall rule configuration and assist with NAT and ACLs.
  9. Support VPN configuration (IPSec, SSL) for remote employees.
  10. Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning of network devices.
  11. Collaborate with systems, security, and helpdesk teams for cross-functional tasks.
  12. Participate in network audits and security assessments.
  13. Assist with firmware upgrades and software patching network devices.
  14. Stay updated with emerging networking trends and technologies.
  15. Report directly to the Senior Network Engineer or IT Infrastructure Lead.

 
Requirements

  1. We are looking for candidates with the following profile:
  2. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications.
  3. 2 years, minimum experience in practical field.
  4. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, Subnetting, and OSI model.
  5. Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies (experience with CLI is a plus).
  6. Certification: CCNA preferred (or actively studying toward certification).
  7. Knowledge of routing protocols (static, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP).
  8. Understanding Layer 2 technologies: STP, port security, trunking, EtherChannel.
  9. Basic familiarity with firewalls (Cisco ASA, FortiGate, or similar).
  10. Hands-on experience with network monitoring or diagnostic tools (Wireshark, ping, traceroute).
  11. Understanding of wireless networking concepts and standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac).
  12. Ability to read and create network diagrams and configuration documents with strong documentation and reporting skills.
  13. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  14. Good time management and task prioritization abilities.
  15. Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to team success.
  16. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  17. Good speaking and writing skills in English / Arabic
