College of Information Technology and Computing:
- General Secondary: Scientific Sports: from 60 to less than 63%, in addition to obtaining 33 degrees in Sports 2.
- Scientific sciences: from 60 to less than 63%, in addition to passing the sports test on the day of registration at the university.
- American Diploma: Obtaining a score of no less than 1100 (SAT 1 old) or 800 EST or 14 ACT.
- English High School: Obtaining a grade of C (C) or above in 8 different subjects eligible for the college, in addition to having 1 subject at the advanced level of Mathematics.

NotesYou must take a placement test in English and Arabic (the test has no effect on the admission of students to the university).
Students who wish to join the Multimedia Technology and Graphic Design program must also pass an ability test (with an outline of the student’s artwork that reflects his ability to draw and innovate).
A personal interview for students wishing to join the College of Mass Communication must also be passed to measure communication skills and general information, in addition to their external appearance.
The university offers grants for sports excellence to those who have won championships at the level of the Republic.
Outstanding students who obtain a high school diploma with a grade of 95% or above will receive a 15% scholarship.
Outstanding students who obtain a high school diploma with a grade of 85% or above will receive a 10% scholarship.
For children of university professors and officers, a 5% reduction in tuition fees.
- The Arab Open University is a non-profit university, one of the projects of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) under the patronage of His Highness Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz.
- The university grants two degrees: an Egyptian certificate approved by the Supreme Council of Universities and a British certificate from the Open University in Britain for the following programs (Business Administration - Information Technology and Computing - English Language and Literature).
The university also grants a certificate accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities for each of the following programs (media - multimedia technology and graphic design - education).

Comments:
- Placement tests in English and Arabic are essential requirements for joining any program. this exam doesn't affect the student's acceptance.
- Artistic skill/based test is essential for joining Multi Media & Graphic Design program (attached by a portfolio of the students' artistic production).
- An interview to test the communication skills , general knowledge and appearance evaluation.
- There are special Sports scholarships for National Championship athletes.
- There is a special achievement scholarship of 15% reduction in tuition fees for high achievers who earned 95% or above in Thanaweya Ama.
- There is a special achievement scholarship of 10% reduction in tuition fees for high achievers who earned 85% or above in Thanaweya Ama.
